Brent A. Bickel, MD, is a physician specializing in orthopaedic surgery with a clinical focus on hand and upper extremity care. He evaluates and treats a broad range of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and arm, including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon injuries, arthritis, tennis elbow, and fractures. Dr. Bickel emphasizes precise diagnosis and individualized treatment plans, offering both nonsurgical options and advanced operative techniques when surgery is appropriate.
Dr. Bickel earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Mount Carmel Health System. He pursued additional subspecialty training through a hand surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery and holds subspecialty certification in Hand Surgery.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Bickel contributes to the education of future surgeons as faculty in the Mount Carmel Orthopedic Residency program. He is affiliated with Grant Medical Center (OhioHealth) and has contributed to the orthopaedic literature through peer-reviewed publication.
