Dr. Brian J. Chang, DACM, DAC, LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist providing patient-centered care in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with a framework rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine to support individualized treatment planning. Dr. Chang earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering & Management Systems from Columbia University, followed by a Master of Science from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences. He completed doctoral-level acupuncture training at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Prior to entering clinical practice, he worked in business and finance, including roles at Ernst & Young and Thomson Financial, bringing a structured, analytical perspective to healthcare decision-making. His clinical interests include acupuncture informed by specialized training such as scalp/cranial neurological acupuncture and Tung-style approaches. He also incorporates adjunctive modalities including fire cupping, dietary and nutrition guidance, and essential oil blends when appropriate. Dr. Chang is Clean Needle Technique certified and is committed to delivering thoughtful, detail-oriented care grounded in both tradition and modern clinical practice.
