Christopher F. Hyer, DPM, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in comprehensive surgical care for complex conditions of the foot and ankle. He practices in the Columbus/Worthington, Ohio area as a partner at the Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center. Dr. Hyer’s clinical interests include cartilage restoration and replacement techniques, reconstructive and deformity-correction surgery, orthobiologics, revision procedures, and total ankle replacement.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hyer is actively engaged in advancing the field through education and scholarship. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS) and has played a significant role in training the next generation of surgeons as a co-founder, past director, and current faculty member of a one-year advanced foot and ankle reconstruction fellowship that educates both DPM and MD/DO physicians.
Dr. Hyer has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and multiple textbook chapters, and he has served as a co-editor for textbooks focused on surgical techniques and total ankle arthroplasty. He has also been recognized with a distinguished alumni award from his podiatric medical alma mater.
