Corey Ellis, MD, is a sports medicine physician with training in family medicine and a focus on helping young athletes prevent injury, recover safely, and return to play with confidence. He cares for infants, children, and adolescents, providing evaluation and treatment for a broad range of sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Ellis earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed a family practice residency there before pursuing fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at Cincinnati Children’s. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Primary Care Sports Medicine.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ellis serves as an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery at Wright State University and is the lead team physician for Wright State University Athletics. His clinical interests include concussion care, adolescent sports medicine, endurance sports, ultrasound-guided joint injections, and compartment pressure testing. He is affiliated with professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and has been recognized as one of Dayton’s Best Docs by Dayton Magazine.
