David Hannallah, MD, is an orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in the evaluation and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His clinical interests include cervical stenosis and myelopathy, lumbar stenosis, disc herniations, sciatica, and spine-related trauma and fracture care. Dr. Hannallah earned a B.S. in Physics, magna cum laude, from Brown University and completed a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering before receiving his medical degree with honors from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and pursued advanced subspecialty training through a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgery spine fellowship at the Rothman Institute/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Hannallah is affiliated with the OhioHealth Clinically Integrated Network. He has contributed to medical textbooks and published in peer-reviewed journals, including Spine and the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery. His professional memberships include AAOS, AMA, NASS, OSMA, and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation, and he has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
