Erica L. Dawson, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and an associate professor in The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She also serves as Director of the Division of Neuropsychology in the Department of Neurology and Director of the Neurocognitive Wellness and Therapy Program. Dr. Dawson is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She earned her PhD from the University of Cincinnati and completed a clinical neuropsychology residency at University of Michigan Hospitals. Clinically, Dr. Dawson is part of an integrated, neurology-based neuropsychology team that provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation and helps guide treatment planning for patients with neurologic and medical conditions affecting thinking, mood, and daily functioning. Her academic and research interests focus on cognition and quality of life in primary brain tumors, the effects of cancer and cancer treatments on cognitive functioning, cognitive consequences of neurodegenerative disease, and the efficacy of cognitive rehabilitation programs. Her work incorporates objective assessment of cognition, mood, and quality of life, often using prospective and longitudinal approaches, and she has contributed to multidisciplinary projects supporting neuropsychological care in neuro-oncology.
