Dr. James Apesos, MD, is a plastic surgery physician providing comprehensive cosmetic and reconstructive care. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, and holds added qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Apesos is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Apesos serves as a Clinical Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and is also a Clinical Professor in Emergency Medicine. He has held leadership roles in surgical education and training, including serving as Program Director of a plastic surgery residency program, and has directed a microsurgery laboratory.
Dr. Apesos’s experience spans aesthetic surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery, with clinical interests that include hand surgery and burn management. He has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in plastic and reconstructive surgery and has experience serving as an expert witness in matters related to plastic and reconstructive surgery. He also maintains active affiliations with regional hospitals and surgery centers.
