Dr. James E. Kemmler is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with more than 30 years of clinical experience caring for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed orthopaedic surgery residency training through the University of Illinois, with additional residency training reported at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kemmler has held leadership roles that reflect a commitment to coordinated recovery and functional restoration. He serves as Rehabilitation Director of the Grand Lake Inpatient Rehab Unit and has also served as medical director for MoR Rehab and Ciao MedSpa. He is the founder of Kemmler Orthopaedic Center.
Dr. Kemmler also operates a medical-legal consulting practice focused on medical-legal reviews. He is involved with professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and his work has been represented in PubMed-indexed publications. Patients value his depth of experience, thoughtful evaluation, and focus on helping individuals return safely to the activities that matter most to them.
