Dr. Jasbir S. Dhaliwal is a pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist specializing in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, with an advanced clinical focus in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She serves as an Associate Professor in the University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics and is part of Cincinnati Children’s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
Dr. Dhaliwal completed a BSc in Pharmacology and Physiology at University College London and earned her medical degree (MBBS) at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ (University of London). She completed pediatric specialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition through the National Health Service in London, and pursued further fellowship training at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, including advanced IBD fellowship training. She also holds an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).
As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Dhaliwal’s research applies predictive analytics and machine learning to understand clinical and biological drivers of outcomes in pediatric IBD and to advance precision medicine in digestive diseases, including deep learning approaches in histology. She also leverages ImproveCareNow Network infrastructure to study social determinants of health and reduce outcome gaps in IBD care. She speaks Punjabi.
