About

Kenneth Vern Cahill, MD, is an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery physician specializing in functional and cosmetic conditions affecting the eyelids, orbit, and tear drainage system. He graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. During medical school, he received the Dean’s Award and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Cahill completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh, serving as Chief Resident, and pursued advanced fellowship training in ophthalmic plastic surgery at Grant Medical Center, The Ohio State University Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Cahill is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds the professional designations of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He serves as a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University and is recognized for his commitment to education, including national lectures in his field and a lifetime achievement award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for international teaching. His scholarly work includes numerous scientific articles and contributions to books on eye disease, and he has served in multiple leadership and committee roles within ASOPRS.
