Dr. Laura C. Reese is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who provides comprehensive musculoskeletal care for patients across the region. She practices with Ashland Orthopedic Associates and also sees patients through King’s Daughters Medical Center Ohio Outpatient Services in Portsmouth, Ohio. Dr. Reese is committed to helping patients relieve pain, restore function, and return to the activities that matter most through thoughtful evaluation and individualized treatment planning.
Dr. Reese earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an orthopaedics internship at Metro Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, followed by an Orthopedic Surgery residency at Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She further advanced her training with an orthopaedics fellowship at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
As a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), Dr. Reese stays engaged with ongoing professional education and advances in orthopaedic care. She provides care in English and values clear communication and shared decision-making to help patients understand their options and choose the approach that best fits their goals.
