Louis S Halikman MD

Louis S. Halikman, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with Mercy Medical Center’s Orthopedics & Joint Replacement group. He focuses on the evaluation and treatment of bone and joint conditions, including injuries and infections, as well as arthritis and other degenerative problems. He is also recognized for a special interest in work-related injuries, emphasizing practical “back-to-work” and return-to-activity pathways tailored to each patient’s goals and job demands. Dr. Halikman earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by an orthopaedic surgery residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. He pursued additional fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His practice is also aligned with adult reconstructive orthopedics. Committed to high standards in patient care and professional development, Dr. Halikman is a member of the Maryland Orthopaedic Society, the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
