Mark Leberte, MD, is an orthopaedic trauma physician who provides comprehensive care for musculoskeletal injuries, ranging from straightforward fractures to complex, high-energy trauma. Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Leberte combines trauma expertise with broad orthopaedic care, including hip and knee joint replacement when appropriate. Dr. Leberte earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed orthopaedic residency training at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He is the Founder and Director of the Huntsville Hospital Orthopaedic Trauma Service and is affiliated with The Orthopaedic Center within the Huntsville Hospital Health System. Common conditions Dr. Leberte addresses include fractures, arthritis and osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, shoulder and knee problems, hip fractures and dislocation, and acute or chronic joint disease. He is an active member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the Alabama Orthopaedic Society, the Madison County Medical Society, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
