Nicholas Gates, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery, with a practice focused on helping patients return to activity through evidence-based care and advanced surgical techniques. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has dedicated his career to foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine.
Dr. Gates earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, followed by fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at Cleveland Clinic.
His clinical interests include ankle arthroscopy, fracture care, Achilles tendon disorders, total ankle replacement, and forefoot reconstruction.
