Shivram Upadhyaya MD

Shivram Upadhyaya, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in spine surgery. He provides comprehensive evaluation and surgical care for a wide range of spinal conditions, including degenerative disorders, traumatic injuries, spinal oncology, and adult and pediatric deformity. Dr. Upadhyaya incorporates modern techniques in spine care, including image-guided navigation and robotic-assisted approaches when appropriate. Dr. Upadhyaya completed Boston University’s accelerated medical program, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Sciences and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He went on to complete an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by orthopaedic surgery residency training through Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He further specialized in spine surgery through a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgery spine fellowship at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center. Dr. Upadhyaya practices with South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and also sees patients in Stuart, Florida. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Medical Association.
