Sumina Goel, MD, is a nuclear medicine physician with advanced expertise in diagnostic imaging, including PET and molecular imaging applications. She is board certified in Nuclear Medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and participates in ongoing Maintenance of Certification. Dr. Goel completed her medical degree at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College in India and subsequently obtained ECFMG certification. She pursued specialized postgraduate training in nuclear medicine through residency at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital Center, followed by a Nuclear Medicine/PET fellowship at NYU–Bellevue Medical Center.
Dr. Goel has served in academic clinical practice, including a prior appointment in nuclear medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she contributed to patient care within a tertiary medical center environment. She has also been associated with independent practice through Molecular MD, LLC. Across roles, Dr. Goel is recognized for an evidence-based approach to nuclear imaging and for collaborating closely with referring clinicians to support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and disease monitoring.
