Trevor Wilkes, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery and sports medicine. He cares for patients with a wide range of shoulder and elbow conditions, with clinical interests that include shoulder and elbow injuries, shoulder replacement, robotic-assisted techniques, regenerative approaches for rotator cuff pathology, and sports-related injuries. Dr. Wilkes earned his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Cincinnati Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Wilkes serves in organizational leadership as President of OrthoCincy. He is active in professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America, among others. He also supports athletes as a team physician for school and professional baseball organizations. His work has been recognized with teaching and physician awards, and he has contributed to orthopaedic publications and national presentations.
