Vijay Mahajan MD

Dr. Vijay Mahajan, MD, is a pulmonary disease physician with extensive experience caring for adults with complex respiratory conditions. His clinical interests include pulmonary and sleep medicine, with additional practice in internal medicine and critical care, supporting patients across the full spectrum of lung and breathing disorders. Dr. Mahajan completed residency training through the Cleveland Clinic Health System and received his medical education at Pt B D S Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Mahajan practices with Mercy Health – Respiratory Specialists and provides care across multiple sites in Northwest Ohio. He is affiliated with several regional hospitals, including Mercy Saint Vincent Medical Center and other Mercy Health facilities, as well as ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital. In his practice, he commonly coordinates diagnostic evaluation and ongoing management for conditions that benefit from pulmonary function testing and sleep-focused assessment, including sleep studies. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mahajan has contributed to peer-reviewed research on patient characteristics and outcomes related to COVID-19 in the hospital setting, reflecting an ongoing commitment to evidence-based care and quality improvement.
